Tour Participant Agreement

There are various unpredictable dangers when we carry out outdoor activities in nature though we pay close attention to safety. Please confirm and agree to the following conditions before participating. We will consider that you have agreed to the following terms when your reservation is confirmed.

Risks in Outdoor Activities

During the tour, the guide in charge will pay close attention to ensuring the safety of the participants while assessing the weather and conditions at the site, and will make the best decisions according to the situation. We ask that all participants be aware the fact that we are doing outdoor activity in a dangerous area, and be sure to follow the guide’s instructions and cautions.

Decision about Tour Conduction

・We will conduct a tour even in light rain as far as it is considered safe.

・One of the criteria for canceling a tour is a “warning” issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency, but the tour may also be canceled at the guide’s discretion.

・When the tour is canceled at the guide’s discretion due to bad weather, cancellation fees will be charged based on  “Cancellation Policy” below.

Obligation to Report and Respond to Health Conditions

・Please be sure to fill in information such as the participant’s health condition and illness when you apply for a tour. The guide in charge is responsible for understanding these matters and taking initial action if we are in an emergency situation.

・If we determine that a participant requires medical diagnosis or treatment due to illness, injury, or other reasons before or during the tour, we may deal with the situation. In some cases, we may have to cancel the tour. In that case, please follow the instructions of the guide in charge. In addition, any cancellation fees and costs required for such actions will be charged to the participant.

・If a participant develops any health problems between the time of application and the day of the tour, please let us know immediately. We will decide whether or not you can participate in the tour after consulting with the person in question.

Disclaimer

・Participants are responsible for their own belongings during the tour. There are various risks such as your belongings falling and being broken or damaged. Please understand the risks during the tour.

・If a participant causes a damage to the guide or another participant due to his/her intention or negligence, the participant must compensate for the damage. (Ex: Damaging to items rented from the guide, damaging to the guide’s car, damaging to or loss of items borrowed from other participants, etc.)

Insurance

・At the beginning of the tour, you will automatically be enrolled in accident insurance (2 million yen upon death, 60,000 yen upon hospitalization). If you are concerned about the insurance, we recommend that you take out your own accident insurance.

・Our guides are covered by liability insurance (100 million yen per person / 500 million yen per accident upon physical disability, 10 million yen per accident upon property damage accident).

Policy for Personal Information

Personal information written on the application form will be used to contact participants, and participants’ information may be used for tour guidance. In addition, we may provide information to third parties (mainly police and fire departments) if we need a rescue during the tour.

Change of Reservation Details

Please be sure to contact us in advance if there is a change in the number of participants. If you change the number of the participants, we will follow the policy below.

・In the case of a reduction: The following cancellation policy will be applied.
・In the case of an increase: We may not be able to accept your request depending on the situation.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation due to customer’s circumstances, cancellation fee will be charged as follows.

<If the booking is canceled due to customer’s circumstances>

・If canceled by the day before
→ Cancellation will not be charged
・In case of cancellation on the day
→ 100% of guide fee

*If you cancel at least 1 day in advance, there will be no cancellation fee.

<If the tour is changed or canceled due to the guide’s judgment>

・Cancellation decision before gathering
→ No guide fee will be charged
・Cancellation decision after gathering and before departure
→ No guide fee will be charged
・If the tour is canceled after the start
→ No refunds are available
・If there is a partial course change due to weather
→ No refunds are available
